The artwork package created for St. Francis Interquest Hospital merges the spirit of St. Francis with the Mission of Centura Health - to extend the healing ministry of Christ by caring for those who are ill and by nurturing the health of the people in our communities. St. Francis loved all of God’s creation, including animals and plants, humanity, rocks, wind, and the entire universe. St. Francis hymn of praise, “The Canticles of the Creatures”, summarizes his journey to God in and through the beautiful things of creation. This is the theme of the artwork throughout the hospital, allowing patients, visitors, physicians, and staff to also take St. Francis’ journey. Each piece of art helps us to experience the blessings that come from God, which is one of the ways to remind us that He is present with us today and every day.
